On September 17, the 10th anniversary Marathon took place in Moscow, the largest of the year, which has been held since 2013. It replaced the Moscow International Peace Marathon, which had existed since 1981. The largest running festival in the capital this year gathered a record 38 thousand applications for participation in the Marathon at distances of 42.2 and 10 kilometers. A large number of participants from other regions of Russia and countries of the near and far abroad came to the start of the Moscow Marathon race. The marathon route passed through the central streets of the city. Some athletes showed a phenomenal time of the race, claiming new records in Russia.
According to the established tradition, the McWiLL network provided high quality and reliable operation of broadband professional radio communication at the event. Ten trunking groups were created for organizers, employees of special services (Ambulance, Rosguard, traffic police, housing and utilities services), technical services, volunteers, relay curators, show organizers, and the media. About 140 McWiLL radio stations and more than 120 headsets were involved in the event; a control room was created on the basis of the operational headquarters. The organizers of the event highly appreciated the quality of the communication services provided.
